More generous donations roll in for Charity Fund
An international mining contractor has donated $5000 to help boost mental health initiatives in Isaac.
The 2017 Mayor’s Charity Ball has now raised a total of nearly $69,000.
The aim of the event, hosted by the Isaac Regional Charity Fund, was to place mental health as the main conversational piece on the table.
Mayor Anne Baker has championed the Ball for the past four years.
“A huge thank you to Sedgman for their generous donation, it’s much appreciated,” Mayor Baker said.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause.”
More than 250 guests attended the Moranbah Community Centre event on Saturday, October 21.
Before Sedgman’s donation the tally from the Ball last week sat at nearly $64,000.
The Isaac Regional Charity Fund is a deductible gift recipient, which means it can receive tax-deductible gifts.
