Not-for-profit organisations in the Isaac region with projects and programs targeting mental health awareness and support are being encouraged to raise their hands for assistance from the Isaac Regional Charity Fund.
Mayor Anne Baker said organisations were invited to apply for the 2019 round of grants to assist with the delivery of worthwhile charitable projects which engaged with residents in the mental health space.
“The aim of Isaac Regional Charity Fund is to distribute monies raised through initiatives such as the annual Mayor’s Charity Ball towards projects which support the residents of the Isaac,” she said.
“It is important that we work together to bring mental health out of the shadows and into the national consciousness. I encourage suitably qualified local organisations to make application for grants from the Fund.”
